Allyum advises Infobel shareholders on the sale to Strada Partners
Allyum has advised Marc and Alain Wahba, founding shareholders of Infobel, on the acquisition by the newly established holding company Datasharp, with the strategic support of investment fund Strada Partners, now the majority shareholder.
Founded in
Uccle nearly thirty years ago and a Belgian pioneer in B2B databases, Infobel
has established itself as a global leader in business databases thanks to its
InfobelPRO solution, which covers more than 400 million companies in over 200
countries.
The company
collaborates with international players such as Google, Apple, Yahoo!, and
TomTom, generating a turnover of €7 million, 50% of which is international.
Profitable and experiencing double-digit growth, Infobel reported a net profit
of €2.8 million for the 2023 financial year.
Antoine
Bruyns (CEO) and Didier Baclin (CTO), two seasoned entrepreneurs in the data
sector, notably having worked at Riaktr, will lead Infobel’s new management
team. With the backing of Strada Partners, the majority shareholder, they aim
to accelerate Infobel’s international development and pursue future
acquisitions in the data brokerage and mapping services sectors.
Allyum is
pleased to have supported this strategic transaction and thanks all parties
involved for their collaboration and trust.
This deal
once again highlights Allyum's ability to structure ambitious transactions that
create long-term value.
