"The outsourced pharmaceutical manufacturing industry will keep growing by greater demand. Although recent surveys all demonstrate a sharp increase in outsourcing, few of them cover the insecure income stemming from this growth and the transferred risk towards the outsourced organization.

According to our analysis, this underlying risk will be a key driver for consolidation by diversification. The players will extend their offering over the product life cycle to balance their portfolio of revenues under the umbrella of a One-Stop-Shop strategy."
